It should be no secret by now how much Russian River Brewing Company is respected in the craft beer world. Pliny the Elder alone is so highly sought after that stores in California can’t even keep these $4 bottles on the shelves. The even rarer Pliny the Younger is not even sold in bottles, so the only way you can even enjoy it is to be in one of a handful of bars in the entire world. But this is a beer that you should find on ebay or via a trade somehow because it truly is worth the effort. Pliny the Elder exemplifies what an Imperial (or double) IPA should be. It’s extremely hoppy, but Elder is also very light and easy to drink. If I had my way, which I don’t, I would drink this beer on a regular basis. So until I move to one of the few states that actually sell it, I’ll have to pay the occasional premium to get it here.

Hey Mark,
Just got a couple Plinys in via trade, so thought I’d watch this video again. “It’s a good night around here. This is a really good beer.” I couldn’t have said it better myself. Contact me on BA if you’d be interested in a trade; username GabrielM
Cheers!
