I am with you – I like a chill to my beer as well. I picked up a Boulevard Sixth Glass Quadrupel off the shelf, brought it home, uncorked it and straight into my glass. Amazing flavor.

That said, some styles just are not good as they warm – pilsners, for example. Ugh.

Thank you, Mike. Yeah, this beer actually tastes much better as it approaches room temperature. I guess the general rule I have lived by is the higher the ABV the easier it should be (and better it will taste) as it gets warmer. Even with that said, I still like a bit of a chill on my beer. Above 50 degrees and it loses some level of refreshment for me. But that’s just one man’s opinion…

Like the review guys. I’ve had a very eye-opening experience with “opening up” a beer. The Unplugged Old English Porter, which I reviewed on snobbyhops.com, has a completely different character when drank at optimum temperature. It’s amazing really how a beer can change so drastically as it moves up the temperature scale. I’m learning something new about beer everyday!
