Hopry Special # 10 | Tim Pratt Interview
One year ago: Ayinger Celebrator
Recently Tim and I got together in his man cave (or what he commonly refers to as The Hopry Dos) to enjoy some good music and a great new beer from Boulevard called 21st Anniversary Fresh Hop Pale Ale. It’s a beer that celebrates their 21 years of production and we certainly wanted to celebrate the brewery by drinking one. And seeing as how Tim has been giving brewery tours there for some time, I thought it be a good time to knock out an impromptu Q&A session so you guys can get to know him a little bit better. We talk about things like favorite breweries, beers, travels, and music. Hope you guys enjoy it as much as we did filming it. CHEERS!
Check out all sessions of The Hopry here.

I really enjoyed this – just nice to see you guys chat over a beer, as after all that’s what beer is for. And I like and agree with “After all it’s just beer.”
My wife and I are moving overseas and I’m unable to take my cellar with me. This pained me for a long time, but then I decided it was time to enjoy all the beers I’d bought and fought for. So I’m drinking my cellar. It’s a freeing feeling. Still… I do miss them all lined up, shelf after shelf.
All the best,
Leo

This was a really fun session! And it was truly that, a session.
Enjoy those beers, and if there is anything that you run across through your cellar clearing adventures that you haven’t seen on the show, share your experience and let us know! Best of luck getting ready for that move as well!
Cheers!
Tim Pratt

Hey Leo. Thank you – glad you enjoyed it. Where are you guys moving?

So, watching these interviews is exactly what it’s like hanging out with you guys when you’re not being filmed (well, minus the whole Q&A formality).
Oh, also: “The greatest thing since soft toilet seats.” Stealing it.

And the fact that we’re both quick-witted, well read, devastatingly handsome and share an affinity for soft toilet seats doesn’t hurt either.

Good idea for a video. For other video review sites, such an interview might seem out of place. But part of the strength of The Hopry, I think, is that people keep coming back to it because they like Mark and Tim as personalities and as people. A video like this, which isn’t so much an interview as it was just two friends hanging out, works to solidify that relationship between host(s) and viewers.

I am going to home to visit Des Moines, Iowa next spring – I should pack the suitcase with a few beers for you guys. We can meet on the border – you bring the illegal fireworks, I’ll bring the Westy 12 and the Abyss. Hahahha – nice interview by the way. I agree with theReaper16 that this site really works because of the personalities involved. Tim needs to work on his beard though – - instant charisma points.

He does need to let it go for a while. I keep explaining to him that a great beard should never (I mean NEVER) be trimmed). It’s kind of the POW look that I’m going for. And yeah, when you come to Iowa, I’ll gladly meet you at the border with some fireworks.

Good video guys, I really enjoyed it a lot. Have you guys thought about doing a Hopry special (or series) on home brewing?

Hi Brian – Thanks for the comment… We’ve talked about it. It’s kind of hard to be honest because there are so many steps at so many stages that the thought of keeping all that video until the end is…ehhh… We’ll keep thinking about it, though. Maybe when it warms up outside again.
